This is a space where I share my observations about religion. Specifically, I write about the history of religion, the causes of the loss of faith in our age, but also the sources of resilience. After more than a decade spent observing the story of secularization as part of my research, I have decided to engage that argument directly, to point out serious gaps in evidence that cast doubt on the validity of what is taken as conventional wisdom.
